Finally at home in our new house!

Good luck my friend. Rehab is a pain for knee, per the wife she felt the rehab was worst than the surgery, but they came to the house which made it easy to deal with. But you got this, it will be done, over and life comes on. Remember, walk , walk, walk.

In this house I have to walk walk walk :). I was joking when we first moved in and Cheryal wanted me to get her something that was in her sewing room... I said let me grab a sleeping bag and I will call you when I am on my way back. :) Not used to a single-story house yet :).

Randy-

Good luck with the knee replacement. My wife had one done about five years ago and the other this past February. It's amazing at how the doctors have this surgery down, like changing spark plugs! You'll be happy you had it done!
Physical therapy afterwards is real important so stay with that. You should be able to do many of your at home exercises while listening to some sounds.

All the Best,

John

Randy, hope your surgery goes well today.
I have had 7 knee surgeries and one replacement. I think the replacement was easier than the cartilage repairs.
You won't hurt it so, please just work hard at your PT. Take the pain meds to do PT if necessary. Not having pain in my left knee is an amazing thing.

Let us know how it went and how you are doing.

Glad to hear you were able to make a solid connection with Thomas at Artisan! He's definitely the highlight of our local audio scene (such as it is), and deserves better than the market we have.

I was talking to Thomas the other day. He mentioned that he saw you a few days ago, at some kind of show or something. He said he told you that he is getting the Mc for me! The Mc trade deal requires purchasing from one of their B&M dealers. He is hoping that my amp is ship next week.

Heard from Randy. Its been a painful one week since his surgery, but he's heading in for his one week check up but he noted he's getting better.

Hello, yea I went to my check up yesterday. She said everything is going as expected. She pretty much described everything I am feeling. Still some serious pain, but it does seem to be improving. I appreciate all of the support. Thank you for all the care and concern!

I've got some awesome drugs I had when I had my head and neck surgery that are guaranteed to take the edge off of any pain. :satisfying::D:bonkers:

Hey Randy, glad to hear your are moving around and improving. In a couple of weeks it will be a huge difference.

Good luck. We will all be thinking about you.

We actually ran into him at the checkout line at the grocery store (Wichita really is a small town, even if there are half a million of us). I think he's as excited about being able to pick up McIntosh as you are at getting the new amp. That's the one brand that's been consistently available somewhere in town over the years, and it certainly has the most mass-market eyeball and name recognition of anything in the audiophile space is ever going to have. The fact that it's frequently pretty solid gear is a nice bonus. Hope you enjoy the amp, and glad you're getting up and around a little more!

Until a day or two ago it was hard to sit in chair to do any real listening because of the pain and aches associated with the knee replacement. It is improving and as of today I have been cleared to ditch the cain! Still some stiffness and swelling to improve but starting to come along a bit! Able to walk around the house and help a bit more. Working on walking normally and of course working on walking without any kind of limp.

Hang in there, Randy. Keep doing your physical therapy and walking around. The more you move the better it is

Except for the fact, now you can sit and listen to music.

Thank you Jeff. Still waiting on the amp. Thomas is having some issues, which should be resolved soon. I will let you know.

I am not sure what is going on with Thomas. He took my money at the end of April and was supposed to order the amplifier from McIntosh on 5/1 when the trade up program started. As of now, he has not ordered my amplifier when I spoke with McIntosh yesterday. They have plenty in stock.

McIntosh is pissed. I have also spoken with American Express, and they are not at all happy either. Obviously, I am furious.

I do not understand how a dealer can take your money and then not even order the product. I am seriously considering turning this into the DA since this is stealing and definitely would be considered as felony.

if he hasn't ordered your amp that money was spent on his bills I would imagine, I would cancel with CC and move on, there's no way I would do business with someone like that

That's extremely disappointing, and does not resemble the transactions I've had with him at all. Obviously you have enough information to directly ask him what's up, and demand restitution if you don't get the answers you want.

I am shocked, because he seemed like an honest guy and your recommendations. But McIntosh confirmed that he has never placed the order. They are really really pissed.
