Hi! So I got the Fiio Q1 MkII but I was wondering can I charge it when the battery isn't low or completely dead? I mean for example if I listen to music for 3 hours and there is still a lot of battery left can I charge it to make sure the next time I listen I have full battery and it won't run out at some point? Or is that bad for the battery and do I have to wait until it's low or dead to charge it?
Please let me know because I don't have much knowledge about batteries and this is the third place I am posting this since no one answers in the other two. I know it might be a dumb question but please,if you know, let me know

Welcome to the forum.

What is the battery type in that unit? Not a dumb question at all.

I don't know it's probably Li-ion. It's rechargable so it should be this type. It doesn't say but I guess(I mean do they use other rechargable battery types anyway)?

I tried to look it up but couldn’t find out. I would say top it off at your convenience before your next usage. Don’t let it go dead before charging and don’t leave it charging all the time. From what I understand with cellphones and electric vehicles, don’t get below 20%, preferably 30% and try not to go too much above 80% unless you occasionally need the most amount of time out of it.

My cellphone for example, seems a lot better since following that simple rule.

Ok great thanks! That works for me. That way I will always have battery to listen to music. Because otherwise I can't charge it and use it at the same time physically (I mean there is only one port) and adapters, well it has to be some mfi certified one so it can actually transfer high resolution audio otherwise the DAC becomes kinda pointless if the cable doesn't transfer what it pushes out so it's very complicated with adapters. So thanks again for the quick reply and for the info!
