Streamers have no sound. If your DAC is doing what it is supposed to do, any streamer (including cheap RPi streamers) will do.
Eversolo T8 Digital Transport!
Just ordered the new Eversolo T8 which is a digital transport, a streamer/dac without the dac. It looks pretty smart( expensive though £1200) and I am hoping it will be able to send a digital signal to my active speakers that already have DAC built in. Thorbjørn’s Sarannas,Mantas and SBS...

Me too. I bought a midlevel streamer from Ifi and it is unbearably bright. I need to sell it. I get audiophile streaming from my dedicated audio computer and a JCat Femto usb card and a Teradal LPS.
Thanks for sharing your view. Just to clarify, this isn’t really an “idea” but how digital audio works: if the bits arrive intact and the DAC is well-designed, the streamer shouldn’t affect the sound.

Au Contraire, streamers do have a sound and the power supplies can be a big part of the sound.
I've had a Roon Nucleus+ for years and I've always been happy with it. What I didn't know was how much the SQ was being held back by the SMPS it came with until I received the Keces P14 for review. It was/is a major sonic upgrade.
