EV Cars

We owned a Telsa, (2018 Model S P100D) about the worst car we ever owned. Freaking super quick, and pissed off the Vette and 911 guys, but even the warranty couldn't help the conditioning repair issues. We have two older Lexus cars ( ES350 & GS350) in the family, one has 57K and the other has 65 K, not a single problem with either and going strong. But one of the hold backs for us with EV, was the limitations on mileage. We make multiple trips to the mountains and with EV stopping along the way for hours to recharge in the freaking pits, unless you can FIND a Telsa charging station. Sold it and I bought me a F150. Now the F150 Lightning coming out late this year is interesting, 563 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 0-60 mph time in the mid-4-second range when equipped with an extended-range battery, but again mileage is a hold back. Its like buy a EV for close to home and drive your RV or gas cars and trucks for those long range trips.

A different type of ride for different occasions; that's the idea you have in spades.
I still belive that gasoline vehicles are bad for the heart. They are like a bad virus.
They will be extinct after we are gone most of us, it is inevitable.
Batteries will ride further on a single charge...300, 400, 500, 600 miles ... Battery stations will multiply, with faster chargers, wireless chargers, ...

I'm in agreement here as well. With commitment will come the infrastructure that's needed. One thing that will be interesting is while most homeowners will be able to add charging stations to their garages I wonder how the masses that live in apartment/condo complexes that park in 'lots' will manage ?

Simple; underground condo/apartment garages with chargers, for each car.

One of the issues with EV's, is how will the government recoup the loss of road/sales taxes.
When you buy a gallon of gas there is a significant amount of taxes. When charging and using an EV these do not apply.
I'm sure that they will figure out a way to tax and at least maintain their share.

They'll figure out I'm shure.

We'll need more cleaner power...nuclear fusion, solar, and less waste of unregulated power...bitcoin.

new construction perhaps, how about the millions of apartments and lots already in existence, not as simple. But yes, a solution will evolve ......

How would you power these stations nuclear or coal burning plants?

Technology for Solar and wind power is not even close to supporting our infrastructure. Hydro electric is not considered clean sustainable power, no credits applied to that industry.

Unfortunately politics and money interest run the “clean” energy narrative.

I was just about to ask, what creates the energy to charge the battery? Yep, Fossil Fuel

How do you get anywhere when the cyber attacks are on the power grid?

How do you fly a plane on Batteries?

Going Green will kill the US completely. Wake Up People.

In the French Alps last summer, a plane set seven new world records. The two-seater aircraft climbed more than 20,000 feet in under two minutes, and reached speeds of 142 miles per hour. It flew nonstop for 300 miles, yep a single battery. The plane was called the e-Genius . Sure battery in big planes is too many years off to count but people are working on it. Which by then some new technology will be invented.

And hell we already have cyber attacks on the power grids all over the world.. And even fuel supplies have been hacked which impacted the south and lower east cost. . May 7 Colonial Pipeline was hacked (a ransom attack) . A February report from IBM found that the energy industry was the third most targeted sector for such attacks in 2020, behind only finance and manufacturing.

And all the attacks you mentioned were False Flag Attacks orchestrated by the Globalists and unfortunately, CIA and FBI were all involved.

The Pipeline attacks and shutdown of the other pipeline are all supposed to make it look like we have to go Green, but it's all baloney.

It goes deeper , where is the energy and resources coming from to mine the chemicals for the battery , not to mention the complete car and tires , how is this going to be different, well apart from the transfer of wealth , power and control... !

Regards

PS: Pump prices up 50% since last November , thinking all and only Class -D amplification by the time EV’s dominate ...!

Solar powered stations and solar homes can charge the batteries in EV. No need of a rocket science PhD. In 2050 nuclear fusion is another possibility.
Anyway, ketchup won't do, and neither oil.

Infographic: The Alternative Energy Sources of the Future

What does the future of energy look like? | Stanford News

At this point and time and anywhere in the near future, nuclear is the only alternative to replace fossil fuels and hydroelectric (if we have water) to power the globe

Your major industries all rely on coal, natural gas and hydro electric.

Gotta start sometime since I’ll probably won’t be around in 2050. [emoji15]

Water we have ... the oceans. And if we don't drop our nuclear toxic wastes in it.

They are not my industries, they are the industries of the destroyers...coal, gas, oil.

Smart? The humans are smart, the North Americans are smart; they'll know just what to do...in time @ the precipice of extinction.

Meanwhile they are building more EV; it's just that the production is slower right now because of lower chips supply...COVID-19 pandemic.

* By 2050 I'm gone, but not the grand-kids.

You cannot build enough or as many as you need for sustainable water with desalination plants, won’t happen.

Aquifers are drying up globally……Farmers in California largest agricultural state in the world is drying up. They’re having to drill for ancient water to water their crops and ground water does not have the nutrients that rain water has.

I agree we need alternative methods to power our infrastructure or life style as we know it may not exist, but again, I doubt I’ll witness that event. My kids and grandkids will, though!

Unless our grandkids are smarter than us.

In North Korea they have to get rice from the army's supplies to feed their population.
In North America they have to evict for the landlords to survive.
In Asia they have to find oxygen to save their people.
In South America they have to elect new leaders to save themselves.

They can build all the EVs for 7.8 billion people, and it can rain for a full year; it won't save the planet and all the audiophiles.

Anyway, we try our best to enjoy now for everyone. What else can we do that we didn't already do.
Elon Musk you can view this as your next challenge and see what you can come up with. And that goes also to all the billionaires of the world.
