Nice review Joe. There's only one thing that bothers me.

The glass plinth that the speaker sets on are mounted to the speaker with wood screws instead of machine screws with a steel insert.

The reviewer said that's a tradeoff to keep the price down. I think over time the screws would work themselves loose and the owner would be left with holes in the bottom of their speakers and a plinth that would no longer serve a useful purpose.

I may be wrong, but for me this makes the Venere floorstanders a no-go.

Of course this is just my humble opinion.
 
Thanks Bob. I did not know that. I'd hope over the long haul that it will be ok. I have not seen them in person yet.
