Has anyone noticed a big improvement in overall presentation after moving their equipment rack from between speakers to a side wall?

I know in theory it is better but is it worth the effort? My new home affords me the opportunity to try that but moving everything will be a major chore. I would also have to buy new interconnects 16-20' long. I would like to know if the results would be significant.:skeptical::hmmm::dunno:

Do it. Better in every way. Functionally, aesthetically, and sound quality.

To get around spending 10k on new interconnects, I bought some nicely made mogami ones made in China and use them as extensions with my transparent reference XLR.

Only a few hundred bucks and I can't detect any difference in SQ.

DM me if you want to try the same brand.

If your Mogami cable says made in China its fake. Genuine Mogami cables are made in their Nogano factory in Japan.

IMO it's dependent on room and 'where' between the speakers your equipment resides. If the room allows for speakers do be brought out far enough you'll be fine and the soundstage won't suffer. What drives me nuts is to see gear out in front of the speakers. IMO there should be nothing within the tri-angle of speakers and your ears except open space.

I moved my rack from the side wall to between the speakers and noticed a significant improvement in sound quality. There are so many factors that can contribute; your room size and shape, your speakers (size and radiation pattern), how far behind the front of the speakers you have your rack, how big and what shape your rack is, how far apart your speakers are, how long your interconnects and/or speaker cables are in each configuration, etc. etc.
