Electrical Noise, Thoughts?

I want some further feedback on this Emotiva device after you have it in and out for a few days. Is it feeding your DAgostino amps, pre and all front end gear. A $120 device. Wow.
Even if you can hear it after a few days of critical listening, that pretty amazing it's that hard to detect. And for the most part, being a benefit.

Rex

In theory it's just a DC blocker circuit and nothing else just like the Van Alstine Humdinger. I tried it and found no difference at all so I sent it back to Amazon. It's worth a try under those circumstances if you actually have a DC problem.

Ed has very powerful amps, high quality power cables with a dedicated feed now going through a PCB with a small choke and a few caps. It's a big load.

It sounds odd to have $100K or so of gear going through a $120 device without hearing a penalty. As I noted, I get the noise going away, but not without some added haze and choked dynamics. What do I know. I guess nothing really. I'm just surprised.

It’s feeding my distribution out of 1 receptacle and the DAC out of the other, it is sitting on HRS Nimbus pucks with Ansuz C2 plugged from the Emotiva to the Wall.

Note, I spent hours of time squeezing out any potential of interference by rerunning cables first which proved a benefit bringing the hum factor down then plugged the Emotiva in a few days later.

I’m fully loaded in the Nordost QRT camp, and never would think by placing this before the power distribution that it would check all the boxes.

Maybe a coincidence but sound quality has improved when verifying several reference tracks I use, there is no doubt my actions of bringing together the parts equaled the whole getting things back in order in short order.

I appreciate yours and others help, I’m a very happy camper on Christmas morning and can’t wait to fire the system up today.

So you have 2 Momentum amps fed through the Emotiva. Amazing. Glad it's working. I guess I have to try one now.

Yes. And for good measure you still need to come over and ram and wire two new grounding rods in the next few weeks...
