So, I'm a gym rat who has been searching for the perfect pair of earbuds. Can't do the cans simply due to fitment.

As a fellow audiophile my ears bleed because of the lack of quality on most pairs of earbuds...

So rather then throwing in the towel I have upgraded my cellphone to a Galaxy S20, my streaming music service to Tidal's HiFi+, and just pulled the trigger on Sony's new wf-1000xm4 earbuds that claim to be compatible w higher end audio formats...

Anyone have great experiences w their earbuds or maybe have some better ideas? Thank you.

I am not personally an ear bud fan; they never have been comfortable to me. With that said I did recently own a pair of Audeze Euclid which were very special as far as ear buds go. They sounded pretty fantastic, but like all ear buds I never could get used to the feel.

Ps, I have also had the Audeze LCD-i4's, but I would not believe their ear hook system would work well in a gym environment.

A few years ago when I was clocking 200,000 international air miles a year, I used Westone WM-40 earbuds. They fit perfectly in-ear and I could sleep with them in for 8 hours. Selection of the proper tips is critical. I use Comply tips, the smallest ones fit my ear canals really well.

This is a whole other country - lots of great options out there. Westone, UE, Etymotic and Shure are well regarded.
