Lots been going on over the past month around here! Due to some unforeseen life/health circumstances which have reframed a lot of priorities over the past month, I've been working to get to a stripped down, yet still audiophile-level system in both my main media room and office. Much to my delight, it turns out the downsizing has resulted in the best sound I have ever had in my system, bar-none. It all comes down to synergy... removing all the separates and interconnects and going back to basics with the Naim Uniti all-in-ones.

The Nova is an amazing match for the Rival speakers. Better clarity, definition, layering, and more engaging than the Chord stack and Backert Labs/Luxman separates. Best thing is I can still enjoy tubes whenever I want... but for now the Nova/Rival combo is more than enough to keep me off the merry-go-round for the foreseeable future.

Congratulations!

I absolutely love Naim gear but haven’t heard the Uniti yet. Naim has a wonderful, full, meaty toe tapping sound.

I hope everything health-wise is great and am sorry to read that. Simpler is usually better. Very happy for you.

Thanks Joe - after the (failed) experimenting with the mono-strapped MQ88-uSE and looking at even bigger and better things it was a reality check to pump the breaks and try to get back to basics and simplify a bit... and it was all for the best as the sound of the Nova is simply exceptional. I have been running occasionally from the Nova into the remaining '88 but I find that where the Luxman excels in finesse and depth, that alone can't compensate for the detail and musicality of the Naim. I have an Atom in my office, which worked great as a streamer into the Luxman, but did not have the cajones on its own to allow the Rivals to really shine. That is definitely not the case with the Nova.

Thank you - and yes, the Nova does support wifi from Innuos. I have a Zen MK III and initially used the Atom and then the Nova via wifi connection (during setup, etc), but have been using wired ethernet directly from the Zen since the first day.
