Doug’s Dream System Comes True

So... he gets to use and live with all of this for free? Are you surprised each piece is getting glowing reviews... makes you wonder where his interests lay

Did he say he gets it all for free? I missed that. I frankly highly doubt it. I’m sure he got it as a reviewer on accommodation pricing, which is standard. I don’t think there is anything hinky going on here. Doug is a good guy.

If that was the case then he wouldnt have mentioned the fact that everything has to go back eventually

Well... maybe his choice of the ASUS laptop server and AmazonBasics USB cable.

I think that the author is saying is 'bits are bits; DAC/Pre/Amp/speakers that's what really matters but I like cables too' [emoji16]

Too lazy to do the research, but I thought he had decided on the Vimberg Tonda? Any idea when/why/how the Vivids supplanted?

Aha. Tonda/Vivid would be an interesting shoot-out though...

Very cool "long term test drive" system. Must be nice.:)
Agree w Mike, Doug is a good dude. Very down to earth.

I also wondered about his loyalties when it comes to a system of that expense. It makes sense for the company because they get free advertising and as great a dude doug may be he still has to walk that line if he wants to keep his free toys.

when KTM introduced the new super duke they loaned 5 of them to you tube personality’s with the deal that the best or most liked review was gifted the bike. Since the reviewer was most likely to sell the bike to pay the rent if he won these reviews had to be taken with a grain of salt.

He can have just about any component that he wants. They (Soundstage) have reviewed literally thousands, so I'm sure if he asks company X other than EMM, Giya, etc. if he can keep the sample for a long term in his reference system, they would oblige. What you're seeing in his system is what his ears/eyes deem to be fit as related in article. That's a nice position to be in. :)

like seriously, how can you take Doug seriously when hen just dismisses vinyl in less than 6 words. Guy has no idea.

It's just another advatorial. but some people have no shame.
