The Lady was so much more than her music.

While I was never a huge fan of that type of music, what I admired about her was the fact that she knew she was fortunate, and did a lot to pay it forward. There was much altruism in her life. Much can be learned from her example.

Also interesting how many people I've heard say they appreciate her as a person but aren't really familiar with her music... until I name some tracks and they realize "wow, she wrote that?" I'd say a lot of people actually love her music even if they don't recognize the origins.
