Do you use a tablet (iPad), and what made you pick the one(s) you have?

Emmmm... I use neither although I did have a Samsung Android which was basically similar to their phones. I use Microsoft Surface Pro 6... I have had a 2 (my first that I gave to our grand daughter), 3 (still have, using it at work to listen to Sirius), and used 1's and the newest 7 (just purchased for our new engineer at work).

I have used iPads and am not at all impressed, they seemed more like a toy while the Surface has real computing capability with the convenience of a tablet.

I have had three different friends who wanted to compare my Surface to their iPads and every one of them purchased a Surface. I purchased Surface's for all of our engineers here at work, and also grabbed their docking stations so they could work on their desktop like a standard computer if they want to here in the office. All have been happy with them and two of the seven went out and bought one for their personal home use. Oh, by the way, the 6's replaced 1's that each had for field work. The dang things still work but they are outdated at this point so we retired them. To me that pretty much says it all... oh, btw, in several comparison ratings that I have read the Surface is rated as the best screen on the market.

I have a first generation iPad - still cranking but not usable for a lot of things anymore. Kelly uses it for reading now.

Like Randy I have a couple of Surface Pro’s. I was using an SP3 as an endpoint for JRicer and Roon. Then I bought a 7 to use as a tablet replacing my old iPad. It’s a no-go due to size and weight. That doesn’t make it less of an awesome piece of hardware, it’s just too heavy and large to use the way I use the iPad. Oh well.

Sorry the Surface Pro 7 did not work for you. They are fantastic machines but are certainly about the largest screens on any of the tablets out there. Some think this is an advantage but I certainly could see it as not being :).

I use my Surface Pro 6 as the Roon controller (I used to use the 3). I also use it whenever I travel (which is fairly rare). It is much easier to carry then my Falcon laptop which is truly a beast :D.

Oh, by the way, Microsoft just released the Surface Pro 8 with Windows 11 pre-installed. They also upsized the screen from 12.3" to 13", therefore it is an even larger screen.
