I may end up in audio purgatory for saying this, but the CD sounds better than the LP.

Silly question Mike. Is it the same mix? Lately labels been releasing different mixes on CD and LP. One example was the much talked about Daft Punk album. The CD sounded much better than the LP also but it was a totally different mix. Go figure.
It does appear to be the same. It sounds like the vinyl was cut from 44/16, its also a little noisy.
The CD does sound better and vocals are captured brilliantly. It's a mellow album. Very laid back. But late at night, scotch in hand, very nice.

I just bought the LP today at one of my local vinyl stores. It has to be one the most quiet LP's as far as clicks and pops that I have ever heard. I counted about 6 clicks on all 4 sides of the double album. It is a dark sounding album and I find that cymbals are pushed way back and not very detailed. Otherwise I like. I will probably buy the CD.
Mine just arrived from Amazon today (the LP). Should I return it and get the CD instead?
