I've been pursuing a piece of furniture to house my audio components. I want them behind doors, with perforated metal for the door fronts to provide cooling, along with an open or removable back.

I checked out Salamander, and they looked ok, but I was wanting something a little more elegant. I discovered a company based in Anaheim,Ca.

TV Stands, Flat Panel Credenzas, TV Bases, and Home Theater Furniture

Audioholics did a review on one of their pieces, and were pretty impressed.

Does anyone know anything about their products, or the company ?

Here is one I liked

They offer many custom options, including having a choice of depth between 18-24 inches. My Hegel H30 could really use that 24 in. depth.

Those look nice Mark. Why not talk to Chris at Timbernation and see if he can custom build you something?

I will give him a call and see. I've just never seen him build a piece like I'm wanting.

How in the heck does one tame power cords in a cabinet? Add 12-16" extra depth? Somewhere there must be a thread where folks can gripe about how a power cord never lines up with the plug orientation on a component, resulting in a twist/coil in the power cord making it unruly. I don't know how a half dozen pwr cords would accept being stuffed in a cabinet?

That said, you will likely find a custom cabinet not too much more expensive than retail, you get what you want at the dimensions you choose, and get to feed a wood-worker in the process. We've made three over the years to match TV stand to home furnishings.
