David gilmour - shine on you crazy diamond - acoustic version

Pink Floyd is my all-time favorite rock and roll band and Shine On You Crazy Diamond is my all-time favorite Pink Floyd song. A fitting tribute to their founding member, Syd Barrett. This Gdansk performance also has the incredible keyboard work of Richard Wright, may they both Rest In Peace.

This is a great documentary for those who have not seen it.


 
My friend and I were lucky enough to see Pink Floyd (less Roger Waters) in October 1987 at Madison Square Garden. They focused on instrumentals and by far their best number was Shine On. No one can make a Stratocaster sing or cry like David Gilmour. If I was on a desert island and just had the guitar work of Gilmour and Santana, I'd be set for life!

Pink Floyd has been one of my favorites from way back. I like David Gilmore, but Roger Waters is the man! As usual, his new album is fantastic.
 
Great album. I mostly have all their live videos - when you see them perform in front of you, its sensational...
 
Big fan here too. Haven't been lucky enough to catch a David Gilmour concert yet but I just saw Roger Waters this past Saturday night in New Orleans. Phenomenal show. Wow. I sooo bad want to catch another show on this tour although would be hard to better my seats Saturday night, 11th row dead center. It was a surreal night.

@mike, he is in Tampa tonight (I think) .... a must see.
