Last Sunday I went to a Danny Cavanagh concert. He is mostly know as guitarist of the British band Anathema. But he likes to perform and I think the rest of the band sometimes wants a break. So he recorded a solo album and did a solo tour. IMHO he is one of the best modern guitarists but then again I'm biased. The whole concert was just a wonderful experience. He did not play to much of his set list since he was feeling good. Most of his songs are slightly sombre, depressing or just not so happy. He is/has been suffering from a depression for a long time I think.During the concert he said something like: It's strange that I can feel anxiety 23h a day but that hour when I'm on stage in front of all these people it just goes away.

I tried to find some of his solo work on stage but I cound't really. So here are some songs with his band and some with my favourite Dutch female vocalist Anneke Van Giersbergen.

This is not a great recording but the atmosphere is great (the song is about their mother who died) Please check what happens around 3 minutes.

This song especially with this video clip brings tears to my eyes
