Has anyone had any experience comparing these two? Thanks in advance!

I have demoed the 525 which ironically has some of the same switching amps guts in a single stereo chassis quite nice but not the same animal as a four chassis flagship product. I doubt it will b anything like the Dag monos. It certainly will run cooler

Ps Mike I hope to visit Blink tomorrow

Let me save you some time. Set your GPS for 55 Franklin Street, Cambridge, MA. That's the parking garage near Blink. Walk down the stairs to the street, out the parking lot door and turn right. Go across the street and Blink is about 200 feet on your right. Its in this building with this nice courtyard.

The owner, Tim, is terrific. He is a concert pianist and sound engineer. For fun, ask him to demo the D3's with Mike's demo CD. Tell him I say hi.

Do try to hear all the models he has. I can't wait for your opinion on the speakers and Audionet.

Geez mike, I think you arc gear and Aida's . And you raidhos and classe gear. Is about the couple best combos out there. And you can switch em around also.
If I were in your shoes, I'd be out looking for another phonostage, like an allnic 3000 to have a
choice and different sound than the ref2se. And a couple of jmw armtubes with some different cartridges. It would give you a ton of choices to mix things in and out . Get yourself a nice mono and a stack of good mono records. Get a nice Benz , a nice Ortofon . Then you have a million mix and match choices and keep things interesting.
Just my opinion .
Oh btw I never heard either of those amp choices. I stick with tubes . Lmao!!!

Mike needs to drink the whole bottle. Joe needs a case.

Rowland is very good, for the money. As is Spectral. And Sim. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

Ha!

Yes I do. But you know, life is really good right now. I still need SS for the longer listening sessions and some background music. I'll find out soon enough what the Raidho/Spectral/Sim/Rowland/Soulution sound is all about. Ah, the choices, it's all good.

Speaking of .....

What ever happened to the Naim Supernait idea?

My dealer can't seem to keep them in stock and even the open box demos are sold instantly. It's still on the menu, but I am waiting for the initial rush to subside. I'll bug my guy in a few months.

All, I own a pair of Rowland M925 with approximately 1800 hours of operations. M925 mono ($58K per pair) has no active/passive parts in common with the M525 bridgeable amp ($9K per pair).

For anyone interested I have posted extensive listening notes on M925 to WBF at:

Rowland M925 monoblock amplifiers -- Break-in Notes

As soon as I have time I will port my notes to Audioshark.

Saluti, Guido

Guido, thanks for the link. That was a great read. The 925's seem like they are quite amazing amps. I'll share one of the pics from your thread.
