D2 upgrade dilemma

My 30 day eval period is just about up for my D2. Although the D2 sounds good, with all of the other upgrades I've made to my system I feel like I should explore different streamers. The place that I purchased the D2 carries full Lumin line and also Auralic line.

I would love to try a different Lumin model, but the X1 is just plain beyond my budget. I'd consider a T1 but worried that its based on older tec ?

I wish there was something newer in-between D2 and X1.
Any advice ?

I had the same thoughts as you, something more fresh in between would have been nice, but I decided to settle on the D2 for now....

I assume you need a streamer with a built in DAC? If not, the Lumin U1 is great and if you don’t want to spend that much look at the new U1Mini

Yes, thank you, I do not (as of now) have an external DAC, but that could change in the future.
My dealer is suggesting U1Mini and Aqua La Voce DAC. Its a combo he has heard and really liked.
He is going to try and get me an eval unit.
