D2 - No sound through Lumin app

I have my D2 digital output connected to my MSB DAC. The D2 plays fine this way through Roon and also plays fine through Airplay, but there is no sound when I play using the Lumin app. The playing status show it as playing on both app and D2 screen. Firmware is 11.1.b
App is on an iPad mini IOS 12.0

Things I've tried or set:
1) Disabled D2 in Roon
2) volume is set to device volume or volume is set to Off
3) Digital output is On
4) Volume is at 100%
5) Volume is not muted

I know that its probably a setting somewhere, but I haven't found it ! Any ideas ?

Please set:

- Direct Stream Digital (DSD) to be PCM (or DoP for the few brands of DAC that handle DoP over SPDIF)
- MQA to Digital Output

Thanks Peter-- Its working now, but the only thing I changed was MQA to Digital out ?

Also, I could not find the-
Direct Stream Digital (DSD) to be PCM (or DoP for the few brands of DAC that handle DoP over SPDIF)
settings for D2 in either Lumin app or Roon (DSP or setup) , also same for MSB in Roon. Where are they ?

Sorry to keep harping on this, but I've been digging into this a bit and doing things very consistently and coming up with some really odd behavior when the D2 goes to the MSB DAC. From either the Lumin app or Roon, the D2 will play PCM files and DSD 128 files, but will not play DSD 64 or DSD 256 files. There is a normal looking signal path in Roon, but no sound. I've tried playing several different PCM,DSD64,DSD128 and DSD256 files and the behavior is consistent.

I'm thinking this may more of a DAC issue than the D2 ?

In Lumin app, please set Re-Sampling to Custom, then Direct Stream Digital option should appear.

DSD64 can be sent via SPDIF by either PCM or DoP - that's what you need to set. You can try DoP option first - if that produces no sound for DSD64 then you need to set it to PCM.

D2 cannot play DSD256 natively. Roon will convert DSD256 on-the-fly to a rate that's supported by D2. In your setup (using D2 BNC SPDIF output) - If the DoP option works, it's best to use the Roon DSP engine to convert DSD128 and DSD256 to DSD64. If the DoP option does not work, it's best to use the Roon DSP engine to convert any DSD to PCM 176.4kHz.

These complexities appear only because of the use of SPDIF to transfer DSD (and MQA). If one uses U1 (MINI) to output USB to your DAC, usually there is no need to make such setting adjustment.

Thanks Peter !! DoP did it for DSD 64.

DSD256 is not playing though. No matter what changes I make to sample rate conversion in Roon, DSD256 signal path says "DSD256 to 352.8kHz PCM" and I get no sound with this.
In Roon custom sample rate I've tried setting DSD256> several different options, but still the same 352.8 signal path.
Any hints on getting DSD256 to play ?

In Roon playback to D2, DSD256 to PCM 176.4kHz, or DSD256 to DSD64 should work.

There is no sound with 352.8kHz because the SPDIF output works up to 192kHz only.
