This looks very promising.

2 x MC and 2 x MM. balanced and rca inouts / outputs
resistive and cap loading on the fly
5 different RIIA equalizations
does not say what the gain for MM and MC is although you can adjust + or - 6db with the knob.

Not a fan of the large red indicators all across the panel. Kind of detracts from the premium look/finish of aluminum case. I would have kept the LED touch screen display of his integrated/streamer unit as the primary displau and user interface for the phono stage. What's the price on the phono?

Premium price. 28k

Dan said the red LED's were military LED's whixh will notbe discontinued. Red is better than blue in ability to see from distance, but yellowish like cj is the easiest color to see

I just read in HiFi+ that gain is 72db +/- 6db.

To me that is way too high for Clear audio cartridges and even a bit high for .5mv carts like Lyra.

To me there should be another gin setting of say 62db and 50db for mm.

This sucker just launched at the Newport Show looks very impressive: Luxman EQ-500 - The Audio Beat - www.TheAudioBeat.com

From Tab.com's coverage of the show:

It seems inadequate to call the Luxman EQ-500 ($7500) a phono stage, given all of its features -- and it's packed with them: everything conceivable except alternate EQ settings. They include four step-up transformers, multiple inputs, RCA and XLR outputs, individually adjustable gain and loading, high- and low-cut filters, mono/stereo switching, front-panel output meters, and built-in cartridge demagnetization. While the EQ-500 looks too narrow to use tubes, it does have them -- mounted horizontally. It uses four 12AX7s and two 12AU7s for gain and a single EZ81 for rectification. Gain levels for MC cartridges are 55, 57, 59, 63, 65 and 67dB, with separate levels (36, 38 and 40dB) for MM.
