I like the Goldfinger very much upgrading from a titanium v2. More details in the frequency extremes in a more refined way...much more information and texture are revealed from the recording but not in any way sounding analytical.
Having the Coralstone now is a different story...totally different character...
Thanks! Like you, I'm a big believer in clean power and these Shunyatas are a necessity in my system. I started with a hydra av and the benefits in upgrading have been consistent...lower noise floor, blacker backgrounds, spacing around instruments are more defined in the soundstage. Still undecided whether to use a cyclops or typhon for my amps...
Thanks Steve. The Master Innovation is truly a wonderful table...superb engineering and a real eye candy IMO. As for the GFS, I used the jig that came with my Graham tonearm for alignment. This jig makes setting up or aligning a cart a very easy and simple procedure.
Like you, I might be getting a cyclops for the amps very soon...
I have about 25 hrs already on the Coralstone and the sound has improved a lot from about 10 hrs.
Character is very different from the GFS. Not as extended in the highs but renders a meatier and fuller presentation. Very holographic images in the soundstage.
Perfect alternative to the GFS. It now all depends with the recording or my mood. I'm loving this cart.
I agree Myles
Also want to say what a great system
I have just started running my Coralstone at a VTF of 1.80 even larger sound stage
I also have a Graham arm top
