Creative gear photos - post 'em here

I spent 5 hours last night trying a new internet filter and experimenting similar to how I did with the 16 network switch shootout.

I can't get over how I still am so impressed with my 2A3 amp.

Michael what Internet Filter are you demoing.

The Rick Shultz Audio. It was suggested to me by one of my followers.

Here is a brief quick video on my thoughts so far I shot Sunday morning after a 5 hours listening session Saturday night full of experimenting with it.

Another comparison of the size difference of the Tobian 12FH vs 15FH.

Also my new dolly. Clearly I move too much stuff around when I get all excited about a new dolly. LOL

Working on the computer with the Tobian 15FH's in the back ground ready for their inaugural listen tonight to compare to the Tobian 12FH's.

This isn't necessarily a creative photo... but it is an amp with Sony VFETs that Nelson Pass personally setup the output stages for, and initialed them. The VFETs were from his personal stash. So it's got that goin' for it... which is nice.

This will be one of those things I will actually never sell. Except for maybe the second one I have...

I did not win either of the lotteries for those, but did build one in the aftermath, including the custom case. I shed several of my DIY projects when I moved, but held onto the VFet!

I got that one via the auction for the Burning Amp Fest last year. I wasn't there, but bid for it over the Zoom call. 😁

Then I shared that I wanted a second one and got one from Patrick "ItsAllInMyHead" on the forum. I ran them with the inputs / outputs strapped together... mono. I think that may effectively lower the THD. Well, I prefer the sound as a single stereo amp (more magic).

I have a First Watt F8. They have a similar kind of musical magic. The FW F8 is a tremendous amp. I don't think I'll be selling that one either. I found a pristine example. I have been listening to the F8 instead of my SIT-5 for the last few months since I got my smaller line arrays done. It's just so good... no hurry to swap back in SIT-5.

Ayre Acoustics KX-R Twenty. Sold it to my buddy in Sarasota. I have a video of the pinwheels in operation, maybe I'll post that - it's pretty cool.

Then we traded amps... my Ayre MX-R Twenty monos for his Pass Labs XA200.5 monos. I'm happy I traded amps... but I would still like to have the KX-R Twenty in the Big Rig.

I'm working on 2 very special things for preamp and one of them is shipping to me right now from Romania... a VFET preamp.

The other is a DIY clone of something so special, and it's so "correct", that I can't even discuss it in public. There was one final set of boards available... in Italy. It was an "open secret", but the catch was you had to be smart enough to figure out how to actually do it. Well, there are a lot of very smart people in the world... who also happen to like audio. Funny how things have a way of working out.

You'll have to come over to see it / hear it.
