There are a lot of crazy people in this hobby, seriously nutty professor types. Their systems and rooms can be off the charts goofy looking, but some of the sound—do NOT underestimate based on looks. Audiophiles for the most part lead charmed lives, open to those uninformed, disinterested types to take pot-shots. A strange kind of envy provokes columns like the one being discussed (imho.)
Personally, I prefer a much more aesthetically pleasing setting.

Those speakers (and electronics) that looked like Barbie made them were the ugliest I’ve seen. Below is a picture. I heard them at Munich HiFi Deluxe. Horrific looking and sounding.

I saw them in some posts elsewhere last year. I think they come with a matching Washer and Dryer
