This short documentary is fun. But North American audiophiles need not compare ourselves to our Athenian counterparts. It is easier to spend 100,000 euros on a rig when you don't pay any income or property taxes. Starting next week, they may be purchasing their Magicos and Lampis with Drachmas. If that happens, I'm guessing the guys in the video won't be buying anything new for awile. Then again, an audiophile always finds a way, doesn't he?

I have also seen this in the past but it is good to watch it again, thanks. It must be nice to be able to meet like minded audiophiles face to face like that. There is no one near me that I know of that shares the same passion for audio, apart from online.

Albert, that is a bummer. Meeting like minded audiophiles and the industry professionals is perhaps the best part of the hobby.

I am lucky to have a few such people nearby to visit from time to time and others via telephone. I have 3 good pals who are both audiophiles and industry pros closeby. A real blessing that.

Albert, if you ever venture east to the big smoke, there are lots of audiophiles you can meet. A trip to see Mark Jones is definitely worth it.
