Great article ! But he does not mention one of the most important things. Alignment. Alignment and proper setup are just as important on a $30 cartridge as they are on a $900 cart. His article leans toward the "higher price is better than lower price". While it is true that better carts are "better", price is sometimes a misleading gauge. Some medium priced carts punch above their class, some expensive carts disappoint.

That article doesn't offer anything new under the sun and as Rob points out, skips the most important aspect.
Totally agree about carts Rob. My $50 AT95E keeps up just fine with a ($400) expensive Ortofon Bronze. The Bronze only has a very subtle edge on the AT, if that. (By the way, I need to replace my AT95e due to a mishap with Magic Eraser).
In "audiophile" world (fantasy land) higher price equals better performance, but in the real application that is often not always true as you just pointed out.
