Corvette ZO6 .........

Nice car. I enjoyed my R8 V10 with a gated manual. Manual cars will pull ahead in collectibility in general

I remember your gated R8. Now the manual R8 command +30% premium. Recently, a low milage (10k miles) mint condition 2009 Audi R8 V10 6MT sold at an auction on BringaTrailer.com for ... $177k. That is over its original MSRP. Not bad, for a car that is only 12 years old.

I don’t see it unless Lemans is not the same as 24 hours of Le Mans race.

you're referencing the wrong Class, Team Corvette is in GTE-Pro

Yep class winners at Le Mans - not outright winners - the only way you would not that is if you are a dedicated Corvette Racing follower...

No. Anyone that follows endurance racing and esp Le Mans knows its not simply a winner takes all event there are several races on the same track over the same 24 hrs. for other classes. When was the last time a production-based car that wasn't a prototype took the outright win, do you know? and you cant use google, etc.

Oh please - lets just agree to disagree - I have watched many races with individual classes & I couldn't tell what brand won what class last year - other than outright. I note the Corvette's last win was in 2015 in the GTE Pro class - the only person who would know that without Google would be a dedicated - rusted on Corvette fan...

Ford GT. Don’t remember the year. Maybe 1966-9??

Carroll Shelby

Yep - from Wikipedia - 1966 to 1969 - 4 years straight a sensational race car in its time - BUT - with 2 different teams - Shelby the first 2 years - JW Automotive Engineering the second 2 years (whoever they are). Made a movie about this - I haven't watched it yet...

Wow! I did watch the movie and was pretty sure it was the Shelby but totally guessed on the years. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket today?

BTW - The movie is very good. No stupid mid-straight shifts for dramatic effect like Fast N’ Furious. Enjoyable movie with some pretty funny scenes. Recommended.
