Core Audio Designs - Speaker Stands

Big fan of Walnut veneered speakers. I see those stands around quite a bit. How do they work with the Carbon 7's? Also, what do you think of the Carbon 7's? I've read lots of good things about them.

There is a 4 week build time so it will be a while until I have them. The should work perfectly - the stands will be tailored for the speaker. The Carbon 7's I have not heard. I purchased the new "SE" model that have a higher performing woofer and tweeter (also a higher price). They are not on his website yet and and the initial pairs are out with pro-reviewers now. I just happened to call Fritz - he was excited about them so, I bought a pair. I can't compare the two but I like them well enough to buy $900 stands ;-)
The comparison I got from Fritz - the "SE" tweeter is upgraded to the top-end Scanspeak Illuminator Aircirc soft dome 1" and the woofer is the lighter & faster carbon 7" rev. 1 from Scanspeak (I think these were originally implemented in the Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolution.). The improvements are greater extension on the high frequency and better integration with the woofer compared to the Carbon 7 original. These features contribute to better image development, better nuance presentation, improved transient speed, and increased micro-dynamic detail cues. The speakers are not bright and still retain the Carbon 7 warmth of character while having improved detail. I feel the bass response is well-textured and extends as well as any 7" that I have heard. The tone is good but without the bottom octaves, it is what it is. I am thoroughly enjoying the speakers. I upgraded the binding posts to WBT 0710 from VHAudio and had them installed during Fritz's initial assembly prior to delivery. At this price point, I don't think you can do better for a stand mount speaker.
