So on another board, I saw how a guy had his tubes stored in a box using pipe wraps (standing up) to hold the tubes and the cover had labels. I kind of liked the idea and last weekend my wife went to scour the good will stores for treasure (she is good at that) I asked her to get me a box - sort of like a humidor...this is what she came up with and what I did with it...the cover is cool because you can either have it blank side up or the other way, its a tray for stuff...and looks vintage (yes, bad camera phone pictures again...lol)

No...I have more but they are occupied in amps..lol...and just sold off 3 sweet pairs of 12AX7's and a few other tubes...Not enough ? LOL...I know some folks have drawers full

Nice tube storage Rob. I need to do something with my stash too. Who needs drawers upon drawers of old tubes anyway? You can only use so many at a time. :)

Yup...and I still have more than I need. I have
2 spare rectifier tubes - for an amp I use once a week...lol
2 spare 6L6GC's - in case one out of my Octet goes...sheesh these cost
Spare 12AX7's - Mullards, GE's, Sylvania 5751 Triple Mica Black plates - I can't find another spare set that I trust as genuine - I have another pair of Mullards in the console amp and the Velleman
8 Spare - GE El84's (also for the console amp)
A bunch of 12AU7's (Velleman only uses one) from Blacplates, JG's, Mullard Long plate, Amperex Bugle boy, Baldwin..
Then for the AUNE - 6GM8's, 6AQ8's, 6DJ8, 7DJ8, 7308, 6922EH, 6H30Pi

Prior to the box, I had them in little boxes in a drawer in the main cabinet..this way, I always know what I have in one spot. Top tray I will use when I need to do little tweaks, put the little parts and tools in it..

I like old fashioned tube caddies to store my tubes in. It kind of makes sense. I think Mother Hubbard's cupboard looks pretty bare in the above pictures. :P

Not really ..its not the quantity of the tubes...Its the QUALITY...sort of like the motion of the ocean...LOL
