I have no doubts that women can do virtually anything a man can do.

We had trees trimmed a few days ago, by a company we have used for a few years. This time I couldn't do anything but smile when the women drove up in 2 box trucks with chippers behind them. Got out of the truck put on their hard hats over their head covering pulled on their gloves and went right to work.

i'm glad I didn't have to try to keep up with their pace of work and the size logs they lifted.

Though, they weren't in the bucket cutting, there is no doubt any of them could have been up their with the chain saw.

I took the picture for 2 nieces that are unsure what they want to do with their lives. They were impressed but declined the offer to introduce them.

Looks like a female Mennonite work crew. AJ is right about the dresses and the danger they pose for the work they were doing. If part of a dress got into that wood chipper, it would be all over but the crying.

Yes AJ, they did all have long dresses without long sleeves. I had a similar though when they arrived.

They clearly knew the equipment and how to make adjustments to it. With large or odd shaped branches 2 of them would handle the item.

Yea MEP, I thought about that more than once.

Not to mention sneakers instead of steel toe shoes/boots.

Brad, thats great to see women crews, but...I sincerely hope the other 2 women were wearing pants. You should have told the lady in the long blue dress it is highly inadvisable to be anywhere near the chipper. I manage architectural projects, that wouldn't happen on my sites.

agreed, thought the same thing when I saw the pic. Brad, was she a blonde ?
