I'm surprised no one has talked about a new Conductor version. I recently learned it was available. It must not be having a good roll out the rating is only 2.9 so you might want to wait for awhile before trying it.

I fired off an email to see if this version will be accessible with Voice Over on Apple products. There's a v5 out and I'm still stuck on v3. Which hasn't had support since 9/2023 BTW.

Anyone try v5 yet? I suppose this is what is referred to as a "soft rollout". LOL
 
I just unboxed the A1000 yesterday, and used Conductor V5. I will say I was a bit disappointed after hearing how perfect it was. I got the error Mike just pointed out. There were several steps where you had to acknowledge that something could go wrong with your choices, like using fixed output. Kinda like the 3 flashy pieces of tape on every new electrical cord warning of a shock hazard, and that the extension cord should not be a child’s toy.

That being said, I’m using the A1000 to accept HDMI out of the TV, and feed it to my pre-amp, which it does perfectly. It even turns on, and off with the TV, and AppleTV, using the AppleTV remote. One day I’ll get around to outputting via USB to the MSB, to test Conductor via USB vs Roon via Renderer. Conductor spent a few hours sorting my music collection on the NAS, so yesterday was not that day.

I did not like V4. I do not remember why. I am still using V3 on my N30SA. It works great. I do not know what Aurender is trying to accomplish with new versions. FYI, I am only playing stored files. I am not streaming so any changes there are not relevant to me.

I'm thankful v3 is still working despite no support since 9/2023. Playing from my ACS10 HD is just the same as always. Playing from Tidal some items aren't updating but I'm not sure which party is the blame.
 
Got it last night. Showed up on my iPad in place of V4. Appears to have auto installed on my N20, which I use for streaming only at this point. So far so good, no problems.
 
I’m using v5 with my W20SE and have noticed that at times playback either won’t start or stop until I kill and relaunch the app. Other than that I haven’t experienced any other issues … yet.

I downloaded V5 onto my iPad two days ago. First day I could not turn off my N30SA using V5. I had to go to V3 to shut down. Second day I was immediately offered an update. After the update the metadata was totally wrong.

When I selected an artist, the name, number of albums, and number of tracks was displayed. But that was not the album art, artist, or music pulled up. Completely wrong. Totally scrambled. ☹️

Long live V3. ;)

I remember when v4 came out you had to delete v3 in order for it to work properly I wonder if it's the same for v5. You might try deleting the apps and just downloading v5.

I had an issue where v3 quit playing any songs from Tidal. Have you had any issues. Aurender did patch that from a support email. So now Tidal works but will sign me out, it only saves my credentials for a short time 24 to 48 hours. I did another email. It's a minor annoyance but still annoying nonetheless.
 
A fresh scan fixed the problem. Annoying that the update caused more problems that it fixed. I have both V3 and V5 on my iPad and can switch back and forth mid song. I do not stream so I cannot comment there.
