Comparison Raidho D3 vs Wilson Audio Alexia's

Next time I get to Manhatten, I will be sure to look you up. Its been a while, as I normally go to Jersey and Philly!

I am really overdue for a big Apple visit, as it has been about 3 years. I need to hear those superlight/ephemeral Raidho tweeters (and diamond hard woofers) to compare to the LMT, which I am still yet to hear. LMT is kinda local, so I expect its just a matter of time.

Lemme call Rowen now and see if they are with dealers in Geneva or Lausanne...

Thanks for the kind gesture to all Bob. Very classy.

Norman,

It was great talking to you yesterday. Your enthusiasm is infectious.

Winson, thank you, I was just over in Geneva a little while ago....gotta love those mountains! Please do try to visit when you cross the pond again! All the best, Bob

Joe, the feeling is mutual.
I hope you found the jobsys link interesting and FYI, part 2 should come out later today. Strike that...it comes out SUNDAY!

Bob, pity I didnt know that, as we could have arranged a meetup! From my office I have a great view of Mt Blanc/Evian/The Alps and Lake Geneva, but I guess one takes it for granted when its an everyday thing...

I most certainly will try to make that NYC linkup. Best regards.

Norman

In general I have been very impressed by the smaller Raidhos I have heard and disappointed by all the Wilsons. I guess I'm not a Wilson guy.

Just received the WAB information from Denmark. My D3's are scheduled to arrive here on Monday. Then weeks and weeks of break in! Very curious to see how the Absolare Passion Signature amps do with controlling the bass on the D3's. The Absolare amps sound wonderous on the D1's. I know the Goldmund amps and the Merrill amps that I have will drive the D3's just fine, but I'm hoping that the Absolare do well also. It will be a long weekend thinking about Monday!

Thanks Norman. Yes. I am excited for the amps to return in stock. My non audiophile friends will be getting a taste of the good life. I think I will make some converts.

Exciting news Bob! Hmmmm. Goldmund and Raidho seems like a combo I need to hear.

Hey Folks,

I'm a D3 owner. Have been for close to a year and pretty sure I bought the first one! I love the speakers. But my concern is maximum SPL's. Unfortunately, they can't replicate the volume/dynamics of what's heard when most music is performed live. This is my only issue. I'm quite confident that based on volume size of the alexia plus driver size, the Alexia's will provide more dynamics and higher SPL's but at the expense of what? How much are dynamics and SPL a part of your needed recipe? I'm wondering how the Lansche No. 7's hold up to the Raidho D3
