I have been doing some listening with the Woo WA22 headphone amp comparing my current two pairs of headphones. I have also been running similar comparisons with my A&K portable.

The Audeze LCD-3 are a very nice headphone, solid bass, nice full sound, a little on the warmer side I would say. Quite efficient so they do get loud faster then other headphones I have used. I would say for rock they are great headphones.

I can also say that the Abyss are a much better all around headphones. Just smoother, very natural sounding, very inviting and much better with all types of music. For the last week or so I have been bringing the Audeze to work and today I decided on the Abyss. While the Audeze are a very nice headphone and better than others I have had, the Abyss are simply amazing. the Abyss are also quite a bit more comfortable and definitely lighter on your head.

The one thing the Audeze have a distinct advantage is that they are easier to drive than my Daina's. So for rocking out they are very good. The Abyss certain can get loud, but that is not their primary purpose for me. All around the Abyss are better than any headphone I have ever heard; I would say that the Audeze are also one of the finer ones I have had.

You sure have some nice toys. I'm just getting started with high end home audio. Headphones and headphone amp just over the horizon for me. That'll be it for awhile for me.

I am thinking that I am settled for a while myself :). I finally got the headphone amplifier that I consider my end game amp.

You have one heck of a nice speaker listening setup for sure!

I just received my new Focal Clear MG's. First listen, pretty darn good; certainly need some break in. I got rid of the Audeze LCD's because I simply do not like the fit. The Focal MG's, just like the previous Clear's, are very comfortable.

I think these will be more rockers then my Abyss. I do believe the Abyss will be more open and accurate, better for serious listening. So having two different tech headphones should be a good alternative listening experience.

After listening a few hours I already hear the Focal opening up a bit. I remember this from when I owned the original Clears. I believe I can honestly say that the Focal Clear MG are my second favorite headphones I have owned, of course behind the Abyss!
