I have a couple shows I like to watch, but the commercial volume is annoying - do they really think playing it louder will make me interested?

That drives me crazy. The damn commercials are way too loud.
 
I go out of my way to avoid those advertisers in those commercials. If they just broadcast at the same or slightly lower volume, no problem. But, they blast them and they are painfully loud all the damn time. Awful.
 
We record shows we want to watch and then fast forward through the commercials. Problem solved.

Also I think the world would be a better place if lawyers and pharmaceutical companies were not allowed to advertise. But then the networks would go out of business because that’s all the ads I see today. At least it seems that way.
 
You must be mistaken. I clearly remember 5-10 years ago the FCC passed a ruling that there can be no volume increase non program content. ;-)

I agree with you but at least Mike Bloomberg is off the screen every 10 minutes.
