yes very interesting. i do find some records warm, but for the most part its the dynamics, the space, the presence of the sounstage. of course there are more bright sounding cd's than records. i tend to not trust record companies after they told me i need to repurchase my whole music library on little silver indestructable better sounding discs. but the things i mentioned are what keeps me spinning vinyl, and not diving into the digital pool..... yet.

Thanks for sharing Myles. That was a good read. Just the other day, my door bell rang and it was the mail lady. She wanted to know about all these records I kept getting ("every day it seems"). She was sincere and wanted a record player. I gave her some ideas and off she went. It's good to see vinyl picking back up.

Steve, when you do dive into digital , save yourself a lot of grief and just buy a Lumin. I'm not kidding, it's very analog sounding !!
