I haven’t compared them with anything else, but a RoomPlay client who has Duos has the Coincident electronics line & the sound was eminently involving.

I have the amps. Very warm, bold and holographic, very good top to bottom.. They seem to be more powerfull than their 8 watts. Dead quiet on 92db speakers.
They have an uncanny ability to spatially reproduce a realistic soundstage, taking you right to the venue.
A friend whom also has the same amps just replaced an Alnic3000 preamp with the Coincident pre and found it a satisfying upgrade.
Definitely worth an audition.
Hope this helps

Nice. Good to hear some nice feedbacks. Anyone else here ?

Yes, I have the Coincident Frankenstein 300b monos and think they are wonderful. Very powerful 8 watts not syrupy at all and plenty extended in the bass and treble. I changed the coupling caps to Jupiter copper foil and it made a nice improvement, but not as much as I thought it would. I guess it is a well thought out design with good transformers.

Throw some good tubes in there and your all set.

Thank you for positive feedback. Great to know. What kind of 300B tube have you been used on your amp ?

I use Takatsuki TA-300b, EML 300b-XLS, and used Elrog’s but they didn’t last in the Franks.
In the 5u4 position I like the Mullards CV378.

did you hear arthur's setup?

Don't have to hear it - just looking at it is bad enough. Regardless of the component quality, I would never want to be subjected to sound from that system - there are so many compromises in set-up - little-to-no chance that ANY components could overcome such a badly damaged Acoustic Wave-Launch ...

Let's leave it that - IMO - it could be vastly better.

Arthur gives advice if you send him a donation. Send him one so he can tell you what's wrong with your assessment of his system:lol:
