I attended the Clearwater Music Festival at Croton-On-Hudson, New York yesterday. The music festival was founded by Pete Seeger almost 50 years ago and is the country’s oldest music and environmental festival. Initially the festival helped raise the funds to build the sloop Clearwater. Now all proceeds support Clearwater’s environmental research, education and advocacy efforts to help preserve and protect the Hudson River.

There were a tremendously diverse group of musicians playing there over the weekend on five different stages overlooking the Hudson River at Croton Point Park. There were so many terrific group’s playing to a wonderfully laid back crowd of people. But my favorite musicians were a band named Mipso from Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Here are some of their videos:

Thanks Ken. It's been years since I've been to the festival. I have great memories of bringing my young daughter to see Pete Seeger.
A nice story. Years ago, a relative of mine ran into Pete on a NYC subway. They started talking and they knew people in common. They talked about a book that included photos of Pete. He took my relative's phone number. A few weeks later he called and said "I don't remember why I have your number. but I remember that I should call you."

Great share Ken! Thanks!

After listening to the Mipso 2018 "Edges Run" album I looked up their earlier albums.
Found three albums which are available on TIDAL.

Just lovely nice folk/country sound!
