Class D amps.

The Devialet isn't pure class D. It has a class A 'core' which provides about 5W of power and the oomph is provided by class D. apparently you can remove the class D section and drive speakers purely class A, though obviously it'd b a bit underpowered!

Thank you Anatta, apologies but I am as blind as a bat and my screen reading software does not interpret pics... Would you mind adding text for manufacturer and models of the amps you posted as photos?

Regards, G.

Does anyone know what class D modules are used in the Devialet? Ncore, UCD, Pascal, other... Or is the class D componentry designed by Devialet?

Guido

Devialet uses their own technology and isn't a Class D, it's a hybrid of their own design

I do love (and own) Chord Electronics, from DAC to power amp. Their products are excellent and can compete with some gear at a double price point, so if Joe Franks said their will be the best class-D amp I'm pretty sure it will!
Actually, my only gripe with Chord product is their user interface: it's so outdated, seemingly coming from the age of hemp shirts and rope belts... quite a pity, considering the looks are quite innovative. Just fire the guy designing your UI, and please don't tell me about costs: a $300 receiver has a better display and remote than your reference CPA8000!

What about the Rogue Sphinx integrated amp? I'm thinking of getting one for myself.

I really love the Aavik U-300 Integrated amplifier. I got one at home.

It has this strange effortless magic.
