Just in: we will bringing two complete amp/preamp setups to the show. Block Audio SE Monos and SE Pre. VAC 452iQ amp and Master pre. Going to show the Clarisys Auditorium Neo’s with a variety of electronics. We will switch back and forth periodically.

The neo versions only dip to 3.5ohms, so they’re tube friendly.

Thank you. I had a very excited Euro dealer friend call me and rave about them. We started communicating early in 2022. We had evaluation pairs throughout 2022 and countless discussions. We inked the deal for Jan 1, 2023.

What is the actual unpackaged weight of the Minuet speaker?

I have watched every video and reviewed every website I can find, and the actual weight of the Minute stated varies greatly.

This what Suncoast website shows:

Specifications

Height: 3.9 ft
Depth: 3.5 in
Width: 2 ft
Weight: 165 lbs piece without flight case packaging

This is what shows on another Clarisys website:

Specifications
Height: 3.9 ft
Depth: 3.5 in
Width: 2 ft
Weight: 200 lbs piece without flight case packaging

Here is another in kg:

Height: 121cm
Depth: 9cm
Width: 70cm
Weight: 95 kg a piece without flightcase packaging (215kg shipping weight)

However, 95kg= 209lb

And, I’m pretty sure I have also seen them listed as 220 lbs. without the flight case.
So, what do they weigh?

With the new platform/base, 220.

Thanks,
So, the new base weighs an extra 60lbs.?

ozzy

The speaker is about 220 pounds with the new bases and the neodymium magnets.

The old version with the ferrite magnets and no bases was lighter. Maybe that’s where you’re confused.

Mike,

Thanks, I was going by what is on your website.
ozzy

We will eventually weigh the speakers when they arrive. Currently, we sold all the pairs. [emoji15]

I remember when I first listened to the Apogees. It was a revelation to me. I fell in love with planars then. I have to assume that these speakers will sound even better. My one and only suggestion would be for them to consider rounding the edges to make the speakers look less chunky, but I realize that this is a taste issue not sound related.
I wish Clarisys much success.

Yuck. Don’t agree. They don’t want to look like an arched window.

I think they look absolutely stunning.
