Chord Hugo DAC

Hahaha yea the MyTek I have one too. I hate it on PCM. A d DSD is just barly ok. I have not done a comparison with the Hugo. It might be better
I tried everything buy my new caps servers. With the MyTek to make it better.

Well I guess people are indeed different. I used Blue Coast download of Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Orchestra recording of a Mahler symphony. I still have my Mytek DSD Dac and my Chord and I find the Chord to be more pleasing with DSD than the Mytek, heck the old Teac UD501 to me sounded better than my Mytek. I really don't care about bits, this rate or that rate, what upsamples this or that all I care about is the sound I hear using my gear in my room. so I guess each their own.

Would love to hear a Lampi and I hope soon to hear Mike's Lumin in his super duper system :D So little time, so much to do.
From what I am hearing (sheer speculation) the Lumin will do DSD better than the Hugo.

BTW, I compared the Mytek to the QUTE. I own the Qute and only heard the Hugo during an all Day session this summer.Edit, my bad…you too have a Qute, not a Hugo. Qute steps up a notch or 2 with a quality LPSU. Hugo is always battery power. I was comparing Stock Qute to Mytek.
Perhaps the LPSU Qute will beat the Mytek on DSD, I would have to check.

I will soon hear a Manhatten (local pal is buying one), so will be able to judge that in DSD.

Last point, as you seem to like DSD, we can start a thread about the best native DSD albums/Song. Matej of MonoandStereo.com will soon do a list. I will keep pushing him for that!
