Chops' Current System Pics ....

Thus the need for the big 1801 power amp
I'm just running one STA-9 to them right now, 120w x 2 @ 8 ohms. I can get the other one connected, run them bridged for 290w @ 8 ohms. I can also use my old Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2 amp which is rated for 250w x 2 @ 8 ohms, but actually measures at 312w x 2 @ 8 ohms.

Mine ran loud enough to have leo knocking on my door way too often and I was using a Realistic sta-235b, 55wpc receiver!

More pics of the bedroom system... Now sporting my father's vintage Kenwood GE-770B graphic EQ (just for show, not in the signal chain) and my trusty Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2 amp for some real power to the 901 V's, a solid 300+ watts per channel.

I am gonna set up a vintage bedroom system too. Soundcraftsmen EQ/PP/Preamp/ Podium sound and Heil speakers HK Tangentail TT, Phillips Black Tulip Power amp and Onkyo CD/SACD player.

Well, just moved into the new house this past Saturday and set up the system. With this huge open space, the subs can really open up and breathe. Even at very low volumes, the bass digs extremely deep at the listening position. And to top it off, I’m getting really good imaging and sound staging. Still have to put the subs on their isolation stands and the spikes on the mains.

Congratulations on your new home, everything looks great!
Thank you sir!

It's pretty good but things tend to be a touch biased to the right since that's the only "corner" in the room. The left side is totally open. Maybe just putting a couple of my GIK panels in that corner may even things out some.

I'm going to have to do some tuning with the subs as well for the same reason.

Looks like a very comfortable room to listen in.
Is that a Monster HTS-5000 power conditioner? I used one when I had a HT setup. That was a long long time ago. Enjoy!
Thanks guys!

That sure is an HTS-5000. It still works, sounds and looks good, so why not keep using it for now. I'll upgrade to something better eventually, but this works for now. I've had it since new! Darn thing is something like 25 years old now!

Gorgeous room! My system is in a much smaller closed up room. Good for listening but it would be nice to be more in the main area of the house like yours is.
