Hello I am French and I am improving my Hifi installation by taking care of the electrical connections

I want to make the sector cords by myself D.I.Y

From the wall outlet to the power strip, as well as from the HEGEL H80 amplifier strip
I would take
Furutech FP-S032N or the Neotech NEP3200 UP almost impossible to find in Europe,
Regarding the Shuko & EIC sockets, I selected 2 brands
- NEOTECH NC-P312GD
- Iego Shuko Pure copper +
What do you think ?

Buy AudioQuest Storm series cables, have less hassle and get better results. Audio power cords are more complex and more important than some might think.

He was only quoting passages that agreed with his expectations, understandings and mis-understanding.

True ……………

to the Op, good luck with your DIY project and thanks for showing the rest of the world how to produce electricity from clean nuclear fission and do so responsibly ……...

That is funny, and a valid statement from a lots of perspectives.

I happen to belong to the distinct group of people, who have come to the conclusion, that power cables are much more than conductive wires transporting electricity from A to B. They can have more impact on sound quality in an audio system than interconnects. And, I would not venture in trying to make my own interconnects.

you came to that conclusion how ?

is it possible they can, yes, it is a given, no.

I happen to know many will educated and capable individuals who are more than capable to DIY their own cables. I don't personally know the Op, so I was merely giving him the benefit of the doubt and I'll also bet he's smart enough to not get caught spending 9k on a 'power cord' !

I agree. Power, and the associated cables, make up the foundation for a system. With a good, solid foundation any system will perform at its best.

Very simple. By testing out things in my own systems over the years. I started off as a cable sceptic, and learned in the process. YMMV.

To anyone their own.

I have built and or repaired many many power cables.
You would be surprised to see the "guts" of many commercial cables.
Power cables are relatively easy to make.
Like a recipe in cooking, the end result has a great deal to do with both the "ingredients" used and the construction technique.
Furthermore a cable will perform different in a given system and or component as many of us have discovered when we do our cable "rolling".
Some people enjoy DIY, others just go with commercial products.
Either way the results are very system dependent and for best results will require some trial and error. (as with all things in this hobby)
No matter your choice, enjoy the journey.
