I wonder what happened? Looks like Audioarts has dropped CH.

Wow, its looks like half off full retail.

The M1 should be a real bargain....for a 70kg monster.

I like the 'Antigone' in that screen shot...maybe the antidote to Audiogon's claptrap?

I guess I dodged a bullet. I was considering CH, but sonically just wasn't my thing. You never like to see this kind of stuff happen, but it does. The folks at CH are good guys.

Dealers that churn lines...irritate me. And I don't buy from them. How could the thing he's trying to sell me be the best today...then he has a new line up soon....

To be fair, if you look at it from his perspective, CH opening up a dealer three blocks away is not sending the right message. Just my two cents.

I'm just guessing...no facts...but a mfg doesn't open up a new dealer 3 blocks away unless one party or the other isn't happy

I believe that at one time Audioarts was represented to be the exclusive distributor / dealer for all of N. America.

I think that there are several dealers throughout the U.S. now.

I've heard the phone stage and it is quite good. Especially with the separate power supply.

And the same dealer sells FM Acoustics at similar upper echelon pricing.

My guess is that CH wanted more dealers and therefore his exclusivity was going away so they agreed to part ways. Seems AudioArts only likes business as exclusive distributor: Zellaton, Stenheim, etc aren't widely known in the US as a result as well.

Elite audio put 2 of their demo CH units on the gon three weeks ago that also appear in the photo/link posted above.

It's only human nature to wonder and speculate. In the end, only CH Precision really knows what may have occurred here.

I have heard others say that AudioArts had placed the brand on the map here in the US. Whether or not you agree, everything has its time and place. People's needs and expectations change as time goes on.

If you like the brand and its products you will (in all likelihood) continue to for they have not changed. Also keep in mind that the brands and dealers mentioned herein are (generally speaking) not usually marketing to Audiogon shoppers. In the end a system will sell and things will more forward. The tides have changed a little is all...

I think that was the problem, competing with FM Acoustics in the same store.
