Is there still a major hi-end audio presence at CES? I have not attended for many years but the last time I attended the high-end exhibits at the Venetian were greatly reduced. Many suites previously used for audio were used for technology meeting rooms.

I did a Google search for audio at CES 2026 and only found HT companies offerings (Samsung, etc.).

Nope. Audio wasn’t welcome about 5 years ago or so. Drones and other crap became their focus.
I wonder why T.H.E Show still tries to operate there. Operating simultaneousliy with CES was a major attraction. I thought Richard Biers stopped pairing with CES before he passed away. He saw the fading attraction for audio at CES. Now the new owners are trying to resurrect T.H.E. Show Vegas.

The only audio is from the Samsung and LGs of the world.

There are some by invitation only in suites at non-CES hotels. For example, Sonus Faber announced their top speaker in a suite at the Wynn a couple years ago. It was fun to see the stacks of McIntosh amps and the speakers were beautiful.

I’ll be there but not for audio - I go because of all the other toys!!!

Every year I attended SF only had static displays with a little background music. They were in business-only mode.

CES has certainly evolved from its debut alongside the Adult Entertainment Expo. You can’t get a Linda Lovelace autograph anymore. Even the booth babes have morphed into amazingly ripped athletes demoing fitness gear.

It was worth going to CES for high end audio when the Alexis Park venue was still in play. It was just right and pretty laid back compared to the main convention center venue.

The Venetian was the beginning of the end. The problematic navigation between floors, the concrete walled boom rooms, the substandard ventilation. The last year I went AARP and Serta had rooms set up there. That sure resulted in a lot of over-the-hill audiophile jokes.

With 140,000+ attendees, CES has become a logistical nightmare. It’s so big it overwhelms Vegas’ infrastructure.

I don’t have to go anymore for my day job and nothing makes me happier.

Tom,
You forgot the ridiculous bi-level rooms suites at the Venetian. Neither level was suitable for audio.
