Steve - at $4k USD, it's not cheap. It sounded fine, but it has much more stiff competition today than it did 30 years ago.

Love the Focal Sopra 2 in blue! But really they look good in all colors.

The blue is STUNNING in person. Shine a light on it and it has this metallic sparkle. The pictures do not accurately reflect how gorgeous that blue is.

Also - on the note of Focal Sopra, Focal has finally caught up and we now have stock here in the U.S. of Sopra 1's and 2's.

Thanks Mike. Hmmmm the price.... Possibly cheaper this side of the world. I wonder how much the mass production model will be.. Love the retro alloy design.

I still have a nostalgic soft spot for Direct Drive and apparently they put a lot of work into this latest incarnation.

Still, something to ponder on if I ever decide to put a table into the office.

No active S5 mk2. Static display. If it's anything like the step up from the original S1 to the S1 mk2, then look out - it will be awesome.
