Caved in for the Aurender N10

is 4TB enough?

Norman.......4TB is plenty for me. If you have a HUGE music library, Aurender offers the N10 with an 8TB option.

I use flac for my music files so there is substantially less hard drive required for a music file versus a wav file. My 1200 CD collection will most likely not use 500GB of hard drive space. It will be quite some time before I reach a 4TB limit. Of course, there's always the option to connect a NAS to the Aurender N10 for essentially unlimited storage.

wow...lucky you.
I wold have to go straight to the 8tb option. DSD and hires eats up a lot of space.

Norman.......My SACD library (DSD) is strictly on discs. My Esoteric K-03, which I also use as a DAC, does not decode DSD from the digital inputs, so I have no reason to download DSD files to the Aurender N10's hard drive. Even though the N10 is capable of converting DSD to PCM on the fly, I prefer to listen to my SACD's from the K-03. DSD from the Esoteric K-03's transport sounds incredible.

Tidal integration with the Aurender Conductor app is seamless. It acts as an uninterrupted extension of the music library. The Aurender Conductor app is quite sophisticated and versatile.

Finally the ripping is completed. I'm cross-eyed. Dragging and dropping files into their respective folders on the hard drive is a piece of cake and going considerably faster than the ripping.

I back up my Aurender N10 by storing copies of my music files arranged in the same folders, by name, as on the N10's internal drive.
