Cartridge Recommendation

I ended up ordering a VPI Scout 1.1 with an Ortofon 2m Black cartridge. It should be here in a week or so. I'll probably get a Musical Surroundings Nova II preamp.

John, congrats on the new TT and cartridge. That should be a great sounding combo for sure, your system is really coming together nicely!!

Congrats....I would do likewise. You'll love your setup......go slowly and be very, very exact in setting up the cartridge to get the most from this fine combo.

If you can, try to demo the Lehmann Black Cube SE II phono (the two chassis model) along with the Nova II. I demo'd both and in my setup it was no contest as the Lehmann was just so much more dynamic and lively and the noise floor was much, much lower with the Lehmann vs. Nova II. Both units are almost identical in price too.
