Capital Audiofest - who’s going?

Just you Mike. I wonder if B&W will have the D4 series to hear?

It sure seems like it.

Not sure on the B&W’s. Hard to get inventory right now.

This is why I am on the fence about driving up. Might be slim on the equipment to hear.

FWIW I’m going. I’ve gone three times since moving to DC. Bought TAD ME-1’s after listening to them extensively there. Then bought Fyne F1-10’s after listening to them extensively there. I highly recommend the show. There is a chance to meet a lot of company owners and Stereophile writers (based on my past experience). A lot of dealers have their own exhibit rooms. The show is very large but has a low key, homegrown feel. Also a chance to see and hear some big ticket equipment. I heartily recommend it. Check out their web site for a map and exhibitor list. I’m going Friday when it is usually not crowded.

I looked at the list of manufacturers being represented at CAF and it looks pretty good. Hope it’s a good one. Time to get back to normal (not a political statement!).

It won't be normal because everyone is required to wear a mask regardless of vax status.

For those of you who didn’t come, you missed a great show. I was there all day today (Friday). Got to hear Khama, Tidal, JBL Everest, Gobel, B&W 801D4, Fyne, TAD, and Von Schweikert speakers in their own large rooms, coupled with Tidal, AudioResearch, Mc, VAC, CH Precision and many other tube and solid state electronics, many turntables, and a ton of more affordable equipment in a fantastic environment. Got to talk to many company owners and dealers. It was not very full today and everyone wore masks. What a pleasure. Kudos to the show organize Gary Gill for having the courage and fortitude to pull this off. I didn’t take pictures because I’m not a good photographer and I saw many people (amateur and professional) taking pictures.

Well said! Get out from under your beds and get back to the shows!

I’ll be there tomorrow and maybe Sunday as well. Heard good reports from the first day.

Wish the Toronto show had that. That sounds like a real show.I did enjoy being back at the show even if it wasn't the best show.
