The Pereraux amps are highly under rated. If memory serves me correct, they were one of the first to use MOSFETS and they sounded excellent.

Oh Man !!! I was going to say awesome...but you have to change that MC cart on the PL530...LOL Teasing.

I think if you LOVE your system, no improvements could be mentioned ...(except that damn cart...lol)

thank you all for the positive remarks. i was looking at some of the topics on this site and came across fuses that make a differents and thinking of giving that a go.what do you all think
????????

Your CD player; a MASH Technics?

* You can start by replacing that unit(s).
...Check Rotel CD players (Models RCD-971 | RCD-991 | RCD-1070 | RCD-1072) for example.
...Or even an Oppo BDP-103 ($399 refurb from Oppo directly). But you're in New Zealand.

Rotels (one of the four models I just mentioned above). :)

And did I welcome you to the site? ...I will. :)

I'm not too much into specs; I still have a MASH CD player, some Rotel CD players, Denon CD players, Oppo 103, Marantzes, Sonies, Pioneeres, Yamahaes, and a bunch more. ...All playing CDs.

The Roteles I just enumerated you can find online for peanuts and I am 100% convinced that you're going to improve your 'sound'.

It is just a suggestion, the first one, for now. ...You asked, I honestly replied. :)

yes i will look into it ,i have a few cd players around ,but none of that make ,will do some research on them ,are they flat sounding ?, the other cd players i have are some yamahas and phillips and sound a little bright but will try a rotel if one comes up

Flat sounding? Me? Do you really think that I'm going to recommend 'flat sounding' CD players! :)

Hey, wait a minute Peter Jackson*; Rotel CD players are natural sounding, very very very musical and balanced.
...And extremely affordable (in particular used ones).

Yep, google them, the four models I just gave you.

* Peter is also from New Zealand. ;) ...But you knew that.

by flat i mean flat response with no colour ,and i bet these rotels are very good ,as all the different makes have some very good top stuff
