Yeah, Canton Reference are audio's biggest secret.

I used the large ceramic cable elevators for years (and still have a bunch of them in storage). 2 years ago I tried the Shunyata V2 and to my ears the system does sound a bit more right (more focused, more harmonically correct without any tonal shift toward leanness) comparatively.....I use around 30 of them, mostly on the hardwood at the speaker end of my room.
I think that their design reduces resonance with their hard top edge; other cable elevators are soft or broad topped......collect dust and get a bit gummy and require periodic cleaning. cables should not be stressed, but the elevators should present a bit of impedance change from the floor. cables can 'sing' with the music when not dressed in some way.
my comments are for anecdotal information only. I would never make any attempt to defend them.
YMMV.

Looks like air conditioning tubing foam
I've never seen AC tubing that color...its normally black rubber. I assume its something home made and not something thats made for audio.
Thanks Amado! I've never seen any of it other than the black. I appreciate it! Dpod4...you and Amado are the most hard core audiophiles I have ever seen!
Great value choice.
I'd once again like to thanks each of you, that responded to my post, as it gave me a better sense of what was needed, and in fact I went with something between both the Shunyata Research V2s and Cable Elevators and ordered the ESD Cable Isolators as the 10 piece set, and should have them in by next Wednesday.
I liked the concept that they can be stacked atop one another if need be?, and saving a few coins just to get a feel for what's what?, doesn't hurt in the least, but through it all, I'm merely trying to finalize my few tweaks here and there, because as mentioned elsewhere earlier on, system wise..........., I don't have any intentions on changing out a single component lest I wish to thrown the sound that it has taken me seemingly a lifetime to achieve out of whack, and knowing in my mind/heart the system is " clicking "
( that's black speak for more then good enough, for my ears/needs ) I'd rather pay attention to those few areas, that will enhance its sense of overall musicality even more.
Thanks again guys, for merely being whom you are, and caring enough to be the voices of reason. Once again, I appreciate every single one of you more then you'll ever know, but do include all of you in my prayers each day/night, because it's so rare to feel so welcomed into a community where so many seem to just be down to earth, regardless of ones walk of life, and that's what a true sense of the terms - Brotherhood or as an Ex-Marine, Brothers-In-Arms is all about.
