Cable Direction

I agree but --- here's my prob

I have never found a dealer in the USA that would loan as mike said $80,000 of cables for a week for a home demo. Heck, even manufacturers have problems having that level of cable out on loan.

Who do I need to deal with to get demos? I would love to compare top of the line Transparant - MIT - Ansuz - Nordost - etc etc etc. to truly have them home to compare?

It almost like the Cable manufactures make it impossible. Like they are scared of a true shoot out. It's almost like Time Share sales - sell the story don't listen/look to/at the product.

End of rant - ???????

I can help you compare a complete top Tara Lab cable setup with a complete Ansuz Diamond setup. I just need Diamond interconnects. I just have Nordost V2 speaker cables but will soon have a complete setup of that. I don't mind loaning for a week. So far the Ansuz has been my favorite with the D3's. I have a feeling I will prefer the TL with the S5's though. Transparent is on my list but will only do reference XL on that line for demo.

May I suggest Siltech, as revealing as Transparent but silkier. Recommend Royal Signature G5 to current G7.

Can't you could borrow from The. Cable Co. as you are based in the US?

In the event you can only try one cable at a time I've also noticed you get a better feel for a cable signature if you install one closer to the source.

Purist Audio Design cables. If you get a chance :)

Purist is different in two respects. Purist do not use plating, they are alloy cables (not plated).

Purist are warm soundings social cables. If you prefer the warm sound of cause.

Just my 2cents.

I agree and I've always done the try one cable at a time method. But the whole cable loom is the goal and that's what's not very available.

One of the best systems I ever heard was with Wilson, Musical Fidelity and Siltech Cables. Years ago, I don't remember the models but I do remember the sound.

I'm really leaning TaraLabs. I just love these omega gold speaker cables. But I still want to make sure.
